Hello, everyone!

I'm here today for just a quick review of a new show that began recently in Japan. If you don't like tokusatsu, you can avoid reading, that's ok!

...

For the two of you that decided to keep on reading, I'm going to talk a little about the new incarnation of a most beloved series of super-heroes,

KAMEN RIDER FOURZE

This is the newest series, beginning right after the ending of Kamen Rider OOO, which was a very popular show on its own.

Kamen Rider is a show about a man (or woman or two people, it depends) that can change into a superhero through some mystical power (in their belts - I'm serious).

This show is a Celebration themed show, just like Kaizoku Sentai Goukaiger, celebrating both 40 years of Kamen Rider ("Fourze"/Forty, get it?) and 50 years of manned spaceflight.

It's a good show, from just two episodes, but let me start by saying my opinion about the thing that bothers me the most:

The suit is UGLY. Period. (songue.deviantart.com/art/Moti…)

Most Kamen Riders from Heisei era (1989 - today) don't look natural, sure, it's just a costume, but they seem... robotic. At least in the Showa era (all Riders till Black RX) they went for an organic look, and it was Cool. The couple last, Double and OOO, at least were trying, but Fourze isn't nearly trying to convince us it's a Kamen Rider suit, it looks more like something out of a robot toy convention than a heroic battle suit.

The good aspects of the show are the characters and the plot. It begins...

:iconlinkaraplz::iconsaysplz:"IN SPACE!!!"

or better saying, on the surface of the moon, two astronauts fighting over a suitcase around a space base, one of them loses the suitcase, just stares at Earth, says the name of his son and sh%t blows up.

We cut to Earth, 17 years later. The man's son is a quiet, mysterious, Yagami Light- kind of guy, who brushes off a girl who wants to give him a love letter, which he tossed over a bridge. Our hero, ladies and gentlemen?

Nope! The hero, Kisaragi Gentarou, tells Keigo he's a jerk for disrespecting a girl's confession letter and promptly jumps off the bridge to fetch said letter.

I like this guy already! He is hard to describe, though. His dream is to become friends with everyone in school, and I mean EVERYONE. He has that Naruto-behaviour, adding a little of Ichigo's toughness act, a bit of Luffy's taste for brawling... so I could describe him as a Onizuka Clone, minus the pervy aspect. This is a really nice guy, who acts completely rebellious and can punch your teeth in if you diss him off.

This is a show about a guy fighting monsters and trying to dissolve the groups among the students in school, the jocks, the cheerleaders, the nerds, the otakus (seriously), etc.

So he must befriend some people while trying to save Earth - I mean Tokyo - I mean High school, and that includes the Kayako stalker, the Captain of the American Football team, the Queen Bee cheerleader and the smart and cool party boy.

Stereotypes aside, it's still a good show and some nice acting.

Plus, the cheerleaders will show up in bathing suits in this week's episode, so that's cool too.

Hope you guys like this review, if not, sorry about it!

I have one big problem with your review. FOURZE'S SUIT IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK ROBOTIC AND SPACE AGE, IT'S ONE OF THEMES OF THE SHOW.
